Hi! My name is Deanne, and I’m SO glad you’re here!

I’m a creative at heart and love all things holiday, celebrations, and parties. I’m sure it comes as no surprise that I went to school for Special Events Management and have been doing corporate events for over a decade.

I’m a newcomer to the interior decorating space with an emphasis on seasonal styling.

My love for decorating began in early elementary school when it became apparent that I enjoyed rearranging my Barbie furniture more than I ever liked playing with the dolls.

In 2015, I launched my business, Home Sewn, as a passion project.  As the kid who could never find my name in the personalized section of the store, I launched a line of custom name blankets that I continue to make today. Check out my shop.

Based out of Edmonton, Alberta, I’m best known for sharing home projects, quick and easy decorating tips, and simple DIYs. In October 2022, I spoke on the main stage at the Edmonton Fall Home Show presenting Seasonal Decorating Made Easy.
